MENJADIKAN MODA TRANSPORTASI KERETA API SEBAGAI PILIHAN MASYARAKAT DALAM MELAKUKAN PERJALANAN ANTAR KOTA ANTAR PROVINSI (Studi Kasus : Rencana Pengoperasian Kereta Api Lintas Sumatera)

In the National Railway Master Plan (RIPNAS) 2030, the government will operate the Trans-Sumatra Railway
(TSR). To realize this plan of course must be carried out in stages, one of which is research related to the existence
of inter-city inter-provincial travellers (AKAP) who will choose the TSR transportation mode, because currently
the inter-city inter-provincial route on the island of Sumatra, has been served by the Bus transportation mode.
AKAP, Travel, Airplane and Ship with various service level classifications such as Economy and Non-Economy.
The initial research needed is to look at the mapping of whether intercity provincial travelers (AKAP) who are
currently served with various facilities, will be willing to switch to using TSR. To create the attractiveness of
inter-city inter-provincial travellers on the island of Sumatra using TSR as a means of transportation, the TSR
mode of transportation must present new service attributes that have not been owned and implemented by the
already operating modes of transportation, namely AKAP Buses, Travel, Airplanes and Ships. .
For the purposes of this study, it is necessary to conduct a literature review to see whether the new service
attributes that will be presented and applied have been used by previous researchers or not.
